From love and longing to relationship anxieties and fear of abandonment, Steve Lacy’s song, Dark Red, is an emotional yet upbeat song about feelings that many can relate to. Within the lyric video I created for this song, I highlight the themes and tone of the song through symbolic imagery, a bright yet muted color palette and expressive typography.

This project helped me refine my skill set within After Effects. In particular, I learned how to better mask videos and animate typography.
